City Body Auto Shop offers auto collision repair Clinton, MD trusts. Look to the following guide to better understand the auto collision repair process we follow.
Once we have completed vehicle intake, blueprinting, authorizations and approvals, our team will perform the repairs according to manufacturer specifications. As a certified I-Car shop with access to resources like ALLDATA and OEM Manufacturer databases, our trained team will follow specific repair processes to ensure that your vehicle is returned to pre accident condition. These repair processes may include some or all aspects of the following:
Painting of the vehicle with our water-based paint products provided by Spies Hecker. We have a computerized color matching system to ensure the paint applied to your vehicle looks the same as it did inpre accident condition. We have processes in place during the refinishing portion of your repair to include blending and clear coating to ensure the paint blends for a perfect vehicle match and transition from panel to panel. We ensure your vehicle is disassembled so we can paint panels and parts separately. This ensures a seamless repair when multiple materials need to be painted.
Offering the car collision repair Clinton, MD looks to, our team understands the importance of a beautiful finish for our customer’s vehicles. Our company uses only the best materials, and we ensure a seamless color match and a factory finish.
Once your vehicle has followed through all previous processes and your new and repaired painted parts have had time to fully dry, we move forward to the reassembly portion of your repair.
This process is when our trained technicians begin to put your vehicle back together, working to provide our customer with a seamless product so the vehicle is returned to pre accident condition.
This step involves sending your vehicle to outside vendors to perform additional work on your vehicle that our company does not have current certification in. Currently, these processes would be called for possible sublet repairs.
This step is typically the final step in the repairs prior to final inspection and QC on your vehicle before releasing the vehicle back to you to go home.
When subletting a vehicle for model-specific repairs, we use dealerships with specialized, manufacturer-specific tools designed to check out any concerns as well as to reset and calibrate the safety systems on your vehicles. (IE: Airbag or seatbelt deployment, any deployment of safety systems, and computer elements on your vehicle).
As indicated in previous communications, sublet work is not a guaranteed time frame that we have control over. We will make every effort to follow up and move along your vehicle to outside vendors; however, there is no guarantee of time estimated for completion at outside locations.
We begin a final inspection. It includes a post repair scan to clear any lights or history of lights that came on at the time of the accident and in reference to parts that were repaired and replaced on your vehicle.
We then confirm all electrical parts work to previous conditions, and we take the vehicle for a test drive to confirm all concerns have been fixed on your vehicle.
We complete a clean-up of your vehicle. This is when we clean the interior and the exterior of your vehicle to remove any dust that may have accumulated on your vehicle during repairs and to ensure our customers have a cleaned vehicle returned to them when they take it home.
Having to endure an accident and wait to have your vehicle repaired is already hard enough, so we want to make sure that we can help make the process less stressful by cleaning up your vehicle after repairs are complete.
We finish our process by performing our Quality Control Inspection (QC). Once the vehicle is complete and the final inspection is performed, we take the time to review the physical condition of the vehicle post-repairs.
We inspect the exterior repairs of the vehicle to ensure paint matching, no missed damages, and the repairs are to factory specifications. We then have our experienced QC team perform an additional inspection and test drive of the vehicle to ensure all repairs have been performed seamlessly before the vehicle is released back to you in pre-accident condition.
